Ingredients : (6 persons)

For the kofta:

  • 1 kg of whiting.
  • 400 g of chopped parsley.
  • 1 large onion.
  • 2 cloves of garlic.
  • 1 egg.
  • 1 piece of dry bread.
  • Salt, pepper.

For the sauce:

  • 4 tomatoes.
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste double.
  • 4 cloves of garlic.
  • 1 teaspoon harissa.
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander coffee.
  • 10 cl olive oil.
  • Salt.


1-Prepare the fish and remove the nets.

2-Chop the parsley and onion finely.

3-Roll fillets in a blender, chop coarsely, add the parsley, onion, crushed garlic, egg and seasoning.

4-Add grated bread progressively until the mixture is firm.

5-Form balls, flatten and pass them to the fryer for 10 minutes.

6-In the meantime, cut the tomatoes into small cubes and set aside.

7-Cut the garlic into slices, add olive oil, harissa and tomato paste with a glass of water. Stir with the spices under low heat until the sauce begins to simmer.

8-Add the crushed tomatoes and cook under low heat.

9-Serve the meatballs with sauce.
